The South Down Brief is a hyperlocal information publication focused on Warrenpoint, Rostrevor, Newry, Kilkeel and surrounding communities in South Down.

We bring together useful local information on public services, property and land, planning and development, jobs, businesses and community events. Our aim is to help readers understand what is happening, where and when, and who may be affected.

Our approach

Articles are written in plain English, with key facts up front and links to the original announcements, documents or listings wherever available. We separate confirmed information from anything uncertain, correct mistakes when identified, and avoid editorial opinion in news reporting.

Advertising and business features

The publication may carry static advertising and sponsored business features, including promotions for businesses connected to its publisher. Promotional material will be clearly labelled and separated from independent factual reporting.

Website in preparation. Further contact and corrections information will be added before public launch.
